Jay and I have been doing a bit of reading about temples since the special October issue of the Ensign came out, featuring Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We read a story about a family that saved up every penny for years and years so they could travel overseas to be sealed together in the temple. We are so lucky to have a temple only 2 and a half hours away! Sometimes I find myself begrudging the trip to the temple (since we have to leave at 6:30am to make it for the 10:00 session) but then I remember that story. And thousands of others who live thousands of miles from the nearest temple and yet they willingly save pennies all of their lives to be able to go to the temple just once, because they know of it's importance.
I love the temple and the peaceful quiet serenity therein. So I'm trying harder to remember the important things. Who cares if it takes 2 or 3 hours to get there? Just being there is worth all the sacrifice. Without the knowledge that I can be with Jay and Jacob for eternity, my life would have less purpose. After all, isn't that why we're here? To love, make relationships, to learn and grow together. Both in the here and now and also after this life. And so, I love to touch the temple, but really, it's the temple touching me. I don't go through the temple-- the temple goes through me.
Jacob loves to touch the temple. I like to think he knows how important it is and that he remembers how having Heavenly Father close feels.

Just some randoms. Jacob gnawing on a hard chunk of french bread. Yum.

Oh how I love my boy, drool and all!
Jacob scrunches his eyebrows just like Malin does!! love it!! hes so cute in those pics!!!
