Land of Eternal Teething

It's back! The random crying, eternal misery, and constant crankiness. Who'da thunk our brief reprieve would have been so brief? Jacob is almost a year old now, and still only sporting two lonesome little toofers. His top teeth have been in the making for, oh... about 11 months. HA. While he's been sleeping wonderfully at night, daytime is an entirely different story. And everyday is different. Yesterday? WONDERFUL. Such a little angel. Today? He was so happy this morning, and now he's miserable. Jacob tends to set the mood around here, so when he's having a bad day, we're all having a bad day. But it's times like these I have to remember I love his guts SO MUCH! He's just so so adorable that 95 % of the time I don't mind dealing with his crankiness.

I know most babies start crawling really early and pulling themselves up on things way sooner than Jacob. I like to think it's because he was so tiny and helpless when he was born... ya gotta give a 5 pounder an excuse, right?!!? He's just recently figured out the delicate art of cruising, though he's still not very proficient. He's pulling himself up on EVERYTHING, and loves to help me play the piano.
Mmmmm.... foodies. Jacob LOVES to eat. He lets me know he's hungry when he slaps his mouth. Which is ALL THE TIME. Seriously, can this boy eat or what! But he must have a hollow leg. I'm sure he doesn't weigh much more than 17 pounds.

We recently caved and bought Jacob some Megablocks. Which he loves. Well, he loves to destroy things we make. He hasn't quite discovered the building aspect of blocks yet.
(notice my neat job of censoring this photo... it was too cute not to use!)
Bath time with Dad is Jacob's most favorite part of any day. He gets to splash and zoom from one end of the tub to the other. Dadda has all kinds of fun games to play in the tub. Jacob's new trick is to leap out of the tub and make Jay catch him. Dangerous or what! Yikes. And of course, the bathroom is Jacob's favourite room. "Why?" you might ask. Three reasons. Bathtub, toilet, toilet paper. Yeah. Needless to say, we try to keep the door shut when this little tyke is awake.
