After my last, rather dismal and depressing post, I've re-evaluated and revamped my take on my current situation. So the day after sinking into the depths of despair with my last entry, I picked myself up, dusted off my Jillian Michaels workout DVD and got to work. And it has made all the difference. Amazing what a little exercise can do for a person. Don't get me wrong, I still have to fight the urge to sleep instead of exercise, but when I get my butt off the couch and get into motion, the results are PHENOMENAL. I have a better day because I feel good that I worked out, I have a tad more energy, and I have more motivation to do other things like read my scriptures, spend quality time with Jay and Jacob, make supper etc. Balance between physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental capacities is essential for me. Without one, I crash and burn in another.
Another thought... I love being pregnant. I really do! Maybe not the sickness, the mood swings and the lack of ambition, but I love carrying a wee babe in my tummy. And I also love having the chance to bring a new little spirit into this world, even if it means having to push it out myself. Every night I lay in bed and rest my hand on the tiny little bump where my baby is growing--I get so excited! EEK! Already I'm on pins and needles waiting for this little one to come. I was looking back at some of my belly pictures of Little-Jacob-Fetus when I came across this gem...
HA! I'm so glad I can look back on this and laugh. Oh dear. Hopefully I won't be such a whale this time around, but those pounds sneak up on a person! Especially when you're craving McDonald's french fries and a DQ strawberry cheesecake blizzard... yummm....
