Happy happy day

Canada Day around these parts has never been a very big deal for us. We kind of like to lay low and avoid the crowds while still getting the benefit of being together and having fun. So instead of going all-out the day of, we took the week to spend some extra time together. We hit up an outdoor pool (super-crowded, super-hot, but super-fun), played in the hot sun at the park, bought some ridiculously expensive but delicious ice cream and had a blast, just the three of us. This year our ward had a pancake breakfast, which we eagerly attended and YUM. It was pretty scrumptious.

Jacob is ga-ga for ice cream. Loves it with a passion, as you can tell from the next few photos.

Our Canada Day week was such a good time. It's so nice for Jay to be able to take a day off here and there to spend time with us, even if it's just a movie day. I love my little family and can't wait to add another teeny person to our trio. It'll be interesting to see how our family dynamics will change. We're all just so excited we can hardly contain ourselves. Maybe this baby will be like his/her big brother and come a few weeks early... I wouldn't complain if he/she did :)

  1. Um. Steph. Your little Jacob gets cuter and cuter every time I see pictures. What an adorable little man.
