So. We went to Utah for General Conference! It was amazing. The getting-there part was not so amazing (especially since the transmission on our van went kaput), but it's always so so wonderful to be surrounded by the saints and to be on Temple Square in Salt Lake. For those of you who would like to learn more about General Conference, go here. We loved it!
I'll skip the long story and just say this in a really long run-on sentence:
We drove from Saskatoon to Barnwell where we met up with Jay's parents and two youngest siblings, then drove to Helena, and on to Tremonton where our van broke down and all 8 of us and our luggage squeezed into one vehicle to Ogden where we met up with Jay's sister, Erin, and her girls who totally rescued us and took us to our hotel in Salt Lake where we stayed for 2 nights but since we were vehicle-less we had to hitch a ride with Jay's parents to go anywhere (squishy but still fun), which ended up being to the conference centre on Saturday (which was AWESOME to say the least), to Liberty at Ann&Dee's on Sunday after Jay and I had packed up the kids and walked 8 blocks(?) from our hotel to the Tabernacle, and to a rental place on Monday to get us a rental van which we drove back to Barnwell all in one day and stayed stranded (but still had fun!) at Rick&Dixie's for a whole week, waiting for our van to get fixed--though we got to stay for Thanksgiving, which was a highlight amongst all the stress of our van being stuck in Utah-- meaning that Jay and his dad had to go BACK to Utah to pick it up and drop off the rental and then we drove back home to Saskatoon. WHEW! Did you read that all in one breath? :) So, for your delectation and delight, here's a whole caboodle of photos...

We made a worthwhile stopover in Idaho Falls and had a pinic at a little park near the temple. Jacob LOVED the "goo" (Jacob-speak for "goose").
