love love

This time of Jacob's life marks the "love love era". He's an all or nothing kinda guy and usually that means "gimme all or you get a nasty tantrum". It's lovely. Not to say that I always give in, but seriously, how can you resist that face? Especially when it comes with his sign for "please". He's getting into his can-never-run-fast-enough toddler years and nothing seems to slow him down. I love that he's becoming a lot more self-reliant for playtime, and he's still my little snuggle-bug. Here's some of the things he loves at home...
His megablocks wagon. Fill it, dump it, sit in it, push it, pull it, go for a ride (courtesy of Dad), and fill it again. He loves that thing.

His water bottle. On the rare occasion that I let him have the silly thing, he loves to totally drench himself and thinks he's quite the clown for doing so. Makes a beautiful mess (which one or both of us end up slipping in) but just too much fun to pass up!

Being confined in small places? The other day Jay squished Jacob into the pocket on the side of his play pen and Jacob just thought it was hilarious... mostly because we were laughing so hard. He also loves to slide the closet door closed with himself inside. Or any door really. Silly silly boy.

Shoes and hats. Any size will do. And two pairs of shoes? Even better. Jacob loves Dad's helmet (pictured below). We finally got Jacob his own bike helmet so he can safely ride in the bike trailer and he now insists on wearing it all the time. He would probably sleep with it on if I didn't hide it.
We are loving Jacob's era of love loves and can't wait to see what he'll add to the list next.

  1. Penny LOVES her Megablock Wagon too!! She usually just climbs on top of all the blocks and makes us pull her around, I don't know how that can feel comfortable....
