My Jay

The first of June marked a holiday in our little Anderson home... it was Jay's 28th birthday! As a Masters student, he's pretty much his own boss so it wasn't too difficult to take the day off to spend with Jacob and I. But don't get me wrong! This last stretch of Jay's schooling has been the toughest part: lots of reading and research and writing and numbing hours and hours in front of a computer. UGH. So glad I never have to write a thesis, but Jay is doing splendidly and hopefully will be finished come September. Or December. No rush.

So we spent the day watching movies, chowing down on some delish skor cake -- and the cake was so big it lasted nearly a week... which means we both probably gained 5 pounds from that thing-- playing at the park and shopping at Wal-Mart for a little birthday gift.

Jay is just the bestest. Did I ever mention the time he was riding his bike home (p.s. he rides his bike 16+ km every weekday to school just so I can have the car at home and we can save a little extra $$... did I mention he's the bestest??)... where was I? Oh yes. He was riding his bike home from school and saw a little old lady stopped at the side of the road with a flat tire. So being the gentleman he is, he pulled over and changed her tire for her. And then the next day he rode his bike past a couple kids and saw some money on the ground and chased after them to give them their money back. These are just a few examples of his awesome-ness. He is so kind and sweet and caring and funny and fun. I just love him to bits and am so so grateful I get to spend an eternity with him! Take a gander at these next few pics and you'll get a little glimpse of what I get to live with everyday... Happy birthday JayJay!

My little hubby... hehe :)
Every banana is a telephone. This is his riding-to-school get-up. Helmet, lunch kit, backpack.
Won't change a stinky poop without the aid of his handy-dandy respirator. Cuts that lovely aroma down to nil.

Off to school.
Out enjoying some white cockle and warm weather. Working on that ever-demanding Masters project.
Oh my handsome handsome man.
Gotta love my boys.
